how to fix IAStorIcon.exe stopped working error

Question:

I replaced a damaged memory on my pc yesterday, when I reboot my computer, I encountered a IAStorIcon.exe system error:

Application Error: The application was unable to start correctly ( 0xc0000135). Click to OK to close application

I click OK, another error pops up:

IAStorIcon.exe Configuration Error

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config.  Mentions error parsing. Parser returned error 0x80070005.

And then IAStorIcon.exe stopped working, what is IAStorIcon.exe? How to fix this IAStorIcon.exe error?

Answer:

Iastoricon.exe is related to Intel’s Smart Response Technology. If you are using Intel’s RST, it will set your SSD as a write-cache device. This process could startup automatically, you can disable Iastoricon.exe via msconfig.

Please following the below steps to fix Iastoricon.exe startup error:

A. Download Wise PC Doctor from: http://www.wisepcdoctor.com/wisepcdoctor_Setup.exe

B. Install Wise PC Doctor and run it to fix the IAStorIcon.exe related error.

C. Restart your PC

D. Disable Iastoricon.exe startup item via msconfig:

      a) Click Start-Run, type Msconfig press ENTER.

      b) Click the General tab, Check "Selective Startup" and clear the Load Startup Items check box.

      c) Click the Services tab, Enable the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All.

      d) Click OK.

E. Reboot your PC.
