The MS Office 2010 beta was installed on my pc in the last week, I run office and it worked properly. But I noticed that when I open word or excel two processes will run automatically:
osppsvc.exe: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\OSPPSVC.EXE
ose.exe: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Source Engine\OSE.EXE
They consume high CPU usage and sometime the osppsvc.exe failed to start. After closing the office, both of them still run in the background, still consuming high CPU and large memory.
What is osppsvc.exe? How to disable osppsvc.exe? Can I remove osppsvc.exe? please advise…

The process osppsvc.exe is related to Microsoft Office Software Protection Platform Service. The Office Software Protection Platform service is generally started on demand when a user has started Office, however, there are license types which can start the service otherwise (such as those using a Key Management Server).
Please follow the below steps to disable osppsvc.exe:
- Download Wise PC Doctor from:
