I have encountered a CPU problem related to ntvdm.exe in the last few days, Every time I restart my computer and after a while the ntvdm.exe will takes up to 100% CPU usage.

I upgrade my windows with the latest security update KB2707511 and hop it could fix the CPU problem, unfortunately, when I run a 16 bit ms-dos program an error pop up: "NTVDM.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close". The 16 bit program fails to run.

We have noticed that many pc users had encountered this problem when they attempt to run a 16 bit ms-dos program, we also found a virus named Booter.Virus.B321J hide itself as ntvdm.exe

Please following the below steps to fix ntvdm.exe problems:

1. Download Wise PC Doctor from:

2. Go to control panel  then add&remove software, uninstall both KB2707511 and KB2709162.
